Terra cotta ganesh - remover of obstacles
Terra cotta Ganesh prong set in white bronze. The Hindu tradition calls Ganesha "Vighneshvara" the lord of beginnings and remover of obstacles, so by worshiping Ganesha one can remove all obstacle, or perhaps just by wearing these on your cuff, this elephant headed Hindu god can lead you through a day of grace and ease.
The son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesh is depicted as a pot-bellied figure, with an elephant head that has only one tusk. In his four hands he holds a shell, discus, club, and a water lily. Like most Indian gods, he has a 'vehicle', in his case it is a rat. Ganesh is one of the best known and loved deities in the Hindu pantheon of gods. Also known as the God of wisdom, he is considered to be the patron of the arts, sciences, and of letters.
